I simply could not have written The Story of Stuff without Ariane.  At the beginning of the project, she helped me clarify goals and establish a writing schedule. Over the months during which we worked together, she was a real partner, providing intellectual input, research and reality checks. Her magical editorial hands transformed my writing from that of a technical garbage geek to a far more accessible, engaging story. From her writing skills to her constant cheeriness and supportive push when I thought I’d never finish, she was the best book doula I could imagine.

-Annie Leonard, The Story of Stuff
